Results from County Cross country Championships

26 Juvenile and 3 Senior Aces competed in the Cross Country Championships in Kilmore. Well done to all in tough muddy conditions. We had 7 individual medal winners and 4 team medals.

First up was the under 10 girls, we had 3 competitiors, Aine Smith finished 3rd, Katie Finn finished 5th and Sinead Clark finished in the middle of the field. The team missed out on a team medal coming 4th.
Next up was the boys under 10. We had 5 competitiors, Conor O'Reilly finished 2nd, Conor Flanagan finished 9th and Max Gaynor, Ryan Mc Cahey and Eunan Mc Mahon finished in the middle of the field.
The team finished in 3rd overall.

For the under 12 girls and boys the distance moved up to 1km. We had 7 girls and 7 boys competing in each group.
In the girls Maeve finished 1st with Cait in 5th, and Cliodhna came 11th, there were also impressive runs by Eimear, Sinead, Ryssah and Hannah, the team came 3rd overall.
In the boys race, James came 3rd with Peter coming 8th and Diarmuid coming 9th, Oisin, John, Michael and Jack ran well and the team finished 2nd overall.

In the under 14 race, Ciara and Faith both ran very well and in the boys race Odhran ran well to finish 2nd.

In the final race of the day our seniors of Yared, Raymond and Paddy ran well with Yared winning it, Raymond finishing 3rd and the team finishing 2nd overall.

We look forward to next round of the Cross Country Championships on Sunday the 17th of November in Carrickmacross. We will be hoping for a big turn out from the aces.
